SWASTI MEDICAL FOUNDATION'S CHIRAYU HOSPITAL was founded under the Patronage of Dr. Ramesh Chavan, who was the first Surgeon of Ratnagiri district. The Hospital was started in Aug 2003 with a noble intention of giving upgraded & super especially medical care to the people of Ratnagiri under one roof.

The well-known SWASTIK HOSPITAL, founded by Dr Keshavrao D. Chavan and Mrs. Saraswatibai K. Chavan, situated opposite to ST bus stand is serving the people of Ratnagiri with its medical facilities for more than 80 years. Dr Ramesh Chavan, son of them who is the first General Surgeon of Ratnagiri, chose to serve his own Ratnagiri people instead of doing jobs in metro cities like Mumbai, Pune, from 1966.

Chirayu Hospital, founded in 2003 by Dr. Ramesh Chavan (1st Surgeon of Ratnagiri) to provide best medical facilities to people of Ratnagiri and Konkan region who had to depend on Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur for special and critical treatments.

The Experts and Specialists with modern technologies are providing best possible treatments for patients while a team is always keen in organizing awareness programs for new mothers, school and college girls to educate them about proper healthcare and good Hygiene.
