Aim of Nursing Foundation Department

To train students in basic and advanced psychomotor skills before they enter real-world clinical settings and to develop the students' character, spiritual growth, and coping abilities alongside their intellectual capabilities.

Objetives

Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Nursing Department

The Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Nursing department aims to equip students with knowledge and skills for holistic care of women (pregnancy, childbirth, gynecology) and children (infancy to adolescence) to reduce morbidity/mortality, promote well-being, and advocate for family-centered, evidence-based practices, covering prenatal, natal, postnatal, and pediatric care, family planning, and public health initiatives like nutrition and immunizations, preparing future nurses for hospital and community settings.

Aims of the MCH Nursing Department

To train students to deliver in-depth knowledge and efficient skills for caring for mothers, newborns, children, and adolescents.

    Understand normal pregnancy, labour, postpartum, newborn care, child growth/development, and common pathologies.

    Apply the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) in diverse settings.
  • 4. Community Health Focus:
